Lu Steven

Lu Steven is a student and artist currently based in Auckland and studying at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. Raised in rural Timaru, Lu's experience of growing up on a farm influences their art through visceral imagery, images of run-down buildings, and lonely, solitary figures swallowed up by the world around them. Lu uses recycled or hand-made material as support for their artwork, re-purposing shelving and wood scraps, or pouring out plaster of Paris to paint on.
