Clare Wilcox

Canterbury Artist | Painting

Clare uses colour to create a visual environment that absorbs us into them. The paintings refuse to stay still and respond to light and emit a colourful glow that expresses her impulse to convey what she sees and feels with texture colour and form onto canvas. Her abstracted paintings of Landscapes from an aerial perspective show common features we see in our rural land.

Clare discusses our need for water through rivers, falling rain, irrigation and water storage revealing our landscape in patterns and stripes. “I find Acrylic polymers challenge me allowing me to manipulate them in a number of ways to achieve my colourful, distinctive style of mixed medium Artworks.”
